Description:
Circle of Trees is an art studio and homestead dedicated to building a community that is vibrant, resilient, and locally self-sustaining. Ron and Cathy welcome visitors to the farm to see what is possible on a small acreage. Their 2.5 acre farm is home to goats, chickens, ducks, herb and vegetable gardens, and a small orchard.
The art studio at the homestead offers classes in a wide array of crafts, such as ceramics, cloth dyeing, watercolor painting, mosaics, silk painting, felting, and old-fashioned hand-tied broom making. Circle of Trees Art Studio takes part in the WinterFest Art shows, and the Blaine Mother’s Day Artist Studio Tour (www.BlaineArtists.com).
Additional projects include: bread baking and self sufficiency classes for seniors and youths, the Blaine Gardeners Market, and The Drayton Harbor Maritime Community Sailing School. In recognition of their community service, the Blaine Chamber of Commerce named Circle of Trees Studio and Homestead the 2010 Outstanding Business of the Year.
