Description:
Common Threads Farm is an educational nonprofit whose mission is to connect people with the foods that sustain us through hands-on, seed-to-table educational experiences. We provide coordinated leadership and support for school gardens throughout Whatcom County, and also provide summer-time “farm camp” and “camp pizza” programs for youth at our Happy Valley location where kids explore food from seed to table while gardening, cooking, and caring for animals.

We also provide adult workshops in poultry processing and poultry raising.

We like to say that our primary “product” is kids who understand where their food comes from and why it matters. Along the way we also grow mixed vegetables, and raise turkeys, chickens, ducks and rabbits for meat and eggs.

Products:
Vegetables – arugula, beans (green/wax), beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, chard, edible flowers, kale, leeks, lettuce, onions, peas, potatoes, pumpkins, salad mix, tomatoes, winter squash and zucchini

Eggs

Meat – chicken, ducks, rabbits and turkeys
