Description:
Nettles Farm raises quality vegetables, herbs, and eggs for its landmark restaurant, The Willows Inn. It also sells fresh produce to island residents from its farm stand inside the Taproot Cafe.
Located in proximity of the Willows Inn, Nettles offers a variety of farm experiences: a leisurely walk from the Inn to see a working farm, overnight stays at the Farmhouse Suite or the Nettles Farm cabin, and weekend farm workshops in the fall. Workshops cover such topics as How to Butcher Your Own Stewing Hen or How to Filet a Whole Salmon.
Certifications:
Nettles Farm was certified organic for 10 years and continues to follow organic farming methods, although it is not currently certified.
